Court Reporting & Video Conferencing

Purpose

At Maxa Enterprises, Inc. we strive to provide high-quality court reporting services that meet the needs of our clients. Our goal is to ensure that every client receives accurate, timely, and professional services. To achieve this goal, we have established the following fair fulfillment policies.

Cancellation Policies

  • Stenographer Cancellation Policy: All settings must be cancelled prior to 3 business hours from the scheduled start time to avoid a fee. If a cancellation is made within 3 business hours of the scheduled start time, a fee of $150 for in-person assignments and $125 for remote assignments will be charged.
  • Videographer & Interpreter Cancellation Policy: All settings must be cancelled prior to 24 hours of the scheduled start time to avoid a fee. If a cancellation for a videographer is made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time, a fee of $350 for will be charged.  The cancellation fee for an interpreter is what is charged by the interpreter.
  • Conference Room Cancellation Policy: Executive suite conference room reservations must be cancelled prior to 24 hours of the scheduled start time to avoid a fee for the time reserved. If a cancellation is made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time, a fee of the time reserved for the assignment will be charged.

 

Refund Policy

  • Refund Conditions: Refunds will be issued for services not rendered due to cancellation or error on our part. Refunds will not be issued after services are rendered.
  • Refund Process: Refunds will be processed within 24 business hours; however, funds will be available within the timeframe of the processing company’s procedures and your bank’s processing procedures for refunds.   Refunds will be issued in the original payment method.

 

Shipping and Delivery Policy

  • Transcript Delivery: Transcripts will be delivered electronically in PDF format or printed within 10-14 business days from the completion of the service. Expedited delivery options are available for an additional fee.
  • Physical Delivery: Physical copies of transcripts or other materials will be shipped via USPS unless otherwise requested.  Deliveries are under the control of the carrier.     
  •  Shipping Rates: Delivery rates are $35 via USPS.  The actual shipping costs will be charged on return of exhibits and also for other delivery carriers.

 

Transcript Confirmation and Payment Terms

  •  Order Confirmation: By ordering our services via e-mail, clients (and not the client’s client) agree to be responsible for payment of the invoices for the services provided.
  • Payment Responsibility: Clients are responsible for payment of all invoices, including any service charges, costs, and expenses of collection.
  • Service Charge: A service charge of 1.5% per month will be applied to any invoices that are not paid within 60 days of the invoice date.
  • Collection Costs: Clients are responsible for all costs and expenses of collection, including attorney’s fees, incurred in attempting to collect any unpaid invoices.

 

Additional Policies

  • Accuracy:  If a client discovers an error, we will correct it promptly after approval from all attorneys and parties and provide a revised transcript at no additional cost.  Should approval not be provided to make changes to a transcript, we cannot make the change.  That will then have to be taken up with the Court.
  • Confidentiality and Data Security: We maintain the confidentiality of all client information and testimony. Our court reporters and staff are bound by confidentiality agreements, and we take reasonable measures to protect client data.
  • Governing Law: Our services are governed by the court reporting rules of the State and Jurisdiction under which we are hired.

 

Changes to Policies

We reserve the right to modify these policies at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on our website.
